2013-2015: A pavilion was built near the parking lot at the Cedar Bay stables. Fundraising for the pavilion included “Pennies for the Pavilion” spearheaded by Val Mascotto and a grant received from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
2012-2013: Three sided structures and feeders have been built by volunteers to provide wind and feed shelter for our horse boarders.
2011-2012: Cedar Bay Geocache Trail – created by Friends of Cedar Bay, the Cedar Bay Geocache Trail received a local initiatives grant from PACE (Patricia Area Community Endeavours) to publish a tourist rack card promoting the trail throughout the region. Sponsorship from local businesses was used to publish a ‘passport’ and mint a limited edition geocache collector’s coin earned by geocachers visiting all 13 geocaches.
2011: A wood stove was purchased for the Tom Belmore Lodge.
2008-2009: Interpretive Trail – Friends of Cedar Bay partnered with New Vision Unlimited and received a grant from Mountain Equipment Co-op to complete an interpretive trail along the main trail from the parking lot to the lake shore.
